Monterey Highland Games July 6th to 8th,2013

The Cowichan Pipes and Drums, along with it's internal band "Barley Jar" recently attended the Monterey California Highland Games. We provided entertainment for the opening ceremonies, performed afternoon and evening concerts and played for the drum major competitions. The trip was a huge success and it is safe to say all involved had a very good time. The Monterey Scottish Society Organizers were very pleased with our performances and were quick to invite us back. Others were also enquiring to see if we would attend other highland games and put on our unique concerts. Thank you to all that supported us in raising funds for the fantastic trip. You can be well assured that the Cowichan Pipes and Drums represented the Cowichan Valley in a very respectable manner.
